One of the things that separates Pandora from the rest is that you pick a song or an artist, and they find similar songs and combine them into a playlist for you to listen to. This is great for finding new music, although I have found it to be more of an annoyance than doing what it’s intended for – helping you find new songs and artists. The downside to Playlist in my opinion is the ease of using their website. Well a few months ago I stumbled across Grooveshark – An awesome website for listening to music. It’s recently been re-designed which makes it even easier to use. So if you’re looking to find a specific song, give Grooveshark a try.

Everyone who know’s anything about SEO will agree that Google’s algorithm can be quite confusing. I have read horror stories about websites going from making thousands of dollars a day to nothing – just like that! While this probably makes sense on Google’s end, the website owner is dumbfounded as to why this has happened. They are trying to think of everything they have done with the website to make sure everything was on the up-and-up, but they can’t think of anything. Well my friends… this is where I am.

(rankings dropped, then came back for a week… then dropped again.

About two weeks ago I was checking the Google Analytics Stats on one of my niche websites, only to find out I had a whopping 0 hits for the day! At first I thought it was an error, but then after searching for my top search terms, I found all of my rankings were GONE! The only thing I ranked for was typing in the name of the website itself. This was very frustating, but to my surprise it only lasted one week! Late August I started getting my rankings back, and getting some traffic. I was very excited, until to my surprise I lost all of my rankings yesterday! Oh the drama!

Hopefully I’ll steady out in a week and this will never happen again. I wish Google would notify the website what it was doing wrong – if anything.

Let me know if you’ve experienced anything similar in the comments!

Tired of having to open up your browser every time you want to watch a good video? Well now you don’t have to! You can download the Hulu Desktop and watch all of your videos full screen with ease, and have it actual full screen!

So far everything looks great! From the Icon, to the video quality. It’s probably just me, but it actually appears to have better quality video. It’s very intuitive, and everything looks beautiful. I wouldn’t mind it having a little more content to browse per page, but it’s worth it. I don’t have to worry about accidentally closing the browser too! Not only that, but for some reason Ads aren’t playing when I’m watching in the application.

You can get Hulu Desktop Here.

I have been a happy Comcast subscriber for over three years. I have been pleased with them for the most part, until last night around 5:00PM the internet download speeds slowed by about 95%. Weirdly enough, upload speeds stayed the same.
I did the normal protocol (reset modem, router, computer ect..) and still suffered the same problem. I then decided to wait a few hours and try again, as one of my neighbors could have been downloading a large file, or streaming some high res video. I checked later that night and still had the same results.
Today I was fed up. So I ran a Speedtest and STILL got a download of about 350kb/s and an upload of around 1500kb/s. I called 1-800-COMCAST and talked to a representative. After WASTING ABOUT 5 MINUTES getting my information, asking STUPID QUESTIONS (“has this ever happened before? did you get a new product?”) the nice lady said:

“I’m sorry, but we’ve been getting calls about this happening in the Salt Lake City, Utah area all day. We know about the problem and are sorting it out as we speak. We know the problem is on our end.”

You think they could have at least told me right after getting my address… guess not.

Since it’s running so slow, I decided to hook up my Sprint Diamond and use it’s internet instead. Comcast was just too slow to handle Hulu.
Please comment if you are experiencing the same problem.

I’ve been playing Tribal Wars for around two years. It is a real time strategy game. When I say “real time,” I mean it. It take about 1 hour to send troops to the nearest village.
In Tribal Wars you upgrade your village, create warriors, and attack and capture the enemy. Every village (except barbarian villages) is maintained by another human around the world. I play on World 31, which has over 100,000 users. So this is an extremely large and popular game.
In the beginning of the game you start by upgrading your resources and warehouse. It takes around 10 minutes to go from level 1, to level 2. After you’re resources are all around level 15 you’ll want to start upgrading other buildings.
After you’re done with that, you’ll want to try to get invited into a dominant tribe in your area. This will help with security, and give you plenty of allies to assist when in battle.
In the end game, you’ll have multiple villages and will want to try to conquer as many high level villages as possible. Just to give an estimate, upgrading a “Clay Pit” from level 29 to level 30 takes around 10 hours!
If you are on the internet often, I suggest giving it a try! It’s fun, and a great strategy game that doesn’t require too much quick thinking.

You can check out my profile on World 31 here.

I received a message from a reader informing me of the “Comment” error. I decided that I would just switch Theme’s, rather then trying to fix the problem. I get my theme’s from Elegant Wordpress Themes, a great website I recommend! They charge $20 a year, and you can use as many as you like!
