While searching the internets for a few minutes I strolled upon the “SAMSUNG Spinpoint F1 HD103UJ 1TB SATA 7200 RPM 32MB Buffer Hard Drive” at Newegg. They had it for $89.99 minus $10 for a coupon code. I purchased it and had it in my hands three days later. The best part about it: Fast and Free shipping! I installed the hard drive, and installed Windows 7. I am now loving life with the 7200RPM with a sweet 32mb cache.

If you are looking to purchase this on the cheap, pick it up over at ZipZoomFly for a cool $79.99. And just an FYI – mine came OEM. What is OEM?

I’ve been keeping up with forums on the Diamond, and there is quite a bit of talk about “Radio’s” on phones. After reading about them, there have been a few people that have “bricked” their phone. As soon as I read those posts I decided to not flash my Radio, as the Stock Radio was working fine for me.

Well a few minutes ago I decided to take the dive! Everything worked perfectly! But the only problem was there was no singular place with all of the instructions needed, and what NOT to do. So I decided to make an EXTREMELY EASY way for you to update your radio!

WARNING: I am not responsible for any damage you cause to your device!

You Will Not Lose ANY DATA on your phone if you flash your Radio using *THIS* method. I have tested this myself.

Upgrade to Telus Radio V1.04.05V (I upgraded from Sprint Stock 1.00.00F)

1. Download THIS folder.
2. Connect Diamond to Computer via USB
3. Extract Folder Contents
4. Run “DiamondCustomRUU.exe” from INSIDE OF THE FOLDER WITH THE OTHER 2 FILES.
5. Wait 2 minutes and your phone should SOFT RESET (no data loss) and you’re done!

(Your phone must be UNLOCKED to do this. Click Here if you need to unlock your device.)

I recently aquired a Sprint Diamond, while getting rid of my old Sprint Mogul. I am extremely happy with the upgrade. After searching around the web for a while, I discovered Juicy’s ROMs over at PPCGeek and I am in love.

Well I wasn’t to hip with the Burgundy, although it was bearable and wasn’t nearly as bad as it looked in pictures. So I decided to make it black!

First I went to my local Sprint store and asked for a Diamond back cover, and the friendly man grabbed one from the back hastily. It has been used and has a few scratches, but you can’t even tell without looking for them.

I then got some RIT Liquid Fabric Dye from the store (Target/Walmart) and mixed 1/4 cup Dye+about 4 Cups Hot Water in a pan. I then put in one of my covers and stylus. The cover was done in about 15 minutes, while the stylus took 45. I had the heat on medium, so it wasn’t boiling, but it was hot.

I didn’t do anything with the USB Red Cover, because I don’t know what to do.. but it looks fine red for now :)
Also, on the cover and stylus, the ONLY THING THAT CHANGED APPEARANCE WAS THE BURGUNDY SURFACES. The camera shield is 100% clear, and you can read HTC perfectly on the back.

See the pics!

Ok, I know it’s random but I couldn’t think of anything else to post about. So I decided to post about my new Ipod Nano.
First of all, it is SMALL. I’ve messed around with all of the previous nano’s and this one is by far the greatest design. I love they got rid of the wide design and went back to the tall nano layout.
I purchased the Ipod from Amazon for a grand total of $139.94. It was an excelled decision and I am very happy with it. I chose purple because (i) Purple happens to be my favorite color since I was about 5 and (ii) It is also my school color. I love how the screen is glass, and the lock/unlock on the top clicks into place, and is not wimpy. The turn-wheel is taking a while to get used to, but it functions very well.

One problem I have run accross is the fact that when I shake the ipod, it sounds as if a few wires are bouncing around inside. This isn’t necessarily a problem, but it seems a lot more fragile rather than if it sounded sturdy.
A really cool feature, is when the device is unlocked and the screen is lit up, you can shake the device and it will shuffle to a new song. It also makes a cool sound.
Overall it is just what you would want it to be, and you should get one today!!!
